Youtube Channel Manager (Animation Channel)

We are building an educational YouTube channel focused on delivering informative, fact-based, and general knowledge content. Our goal is to simplify useful knowledge and present them in a visually compelling and entertaining way  — more like informative storytelling.

 

Role Overview

We are looking for a Channel CEO who can run the entire operation end-to-end:

  • AI scriptwriting
  • AI voiceovers
  • AI / hybrid animation workflows
  • Team management
  • Publishing, analytics, and growth

You are responsible for:

  • Channel strategy
  • Content quality
  • Consistent publishing
  • Growth and optimization

You will operate like a CEO for one channel.

 

Key Responsibilities

Channel Strategy & Content Direction

  • Define channel niche, positioning, and audience
  • Design repeatable, scalable video formats
  • Decide upload frequency and roadmap
  • Kill weak ideas early

AI Scriptwriting & Story Control

  • Use AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, etc.) to:
    • Generate script drafts
    • Brainstorm hooks and angles
  • Edit scripts for:
    • Strong hooks (first 5–10 seconds)
    • Retention and pacing
    • Conversational tone
  • Ensure scripts feel human, not robotic

AI Voiceover Direction

  • Select and manage AI voice tools (e.g., ElevenLabs, Play.ht, etc.)
  • Control:
    • Tone
    • Speed
    • Emotion
    • Pauses
  • Maintain a consistent channel voice/personality

AI + Human Animation Workflow

  • Decide when to use:
    • AI animation tools
    • Human animators
    • Hybrid workflows
  • Break scripts into scenes and beats
  • Guide animators with clear instructions
  • Ensure visuals support storytelling and retention

Team & Vendor Management

  • Hire and manage:
    • Animators
    • Editors
    • Designers (as needed)
  • Review work and give clear feedback
  • Enforce deadlines and quality standards

Publishing, Analytics & Growth

  • Oversee:
    • Titles
    • Thumbnails
    • Upload timing
  • Track and improve:
    • CTR
    • Average View Duration
    • Audience Retention
  • Iterate formats based on data, not ego

System Building & Scaling

  • Create SOPs, templates, and workflows
  • Reduce dependency on individuals
  • Improve output speed without sacrificing quality
  • Prepare the channel to scale beyond 1–2 videos/week

 

Must-Have Skills

YouTube Growth Knowledge

You must understand:

  • Why videos fail in the first 30 seconds
  • How hooks impact retention
  • How titles & thumbnails affect CTR
  • How faceless animation channels scale

AI Fluency (Critical)

Hands-on experience with:

  • AI script generation
  • AI voiceover tools
  • AI image / video / animation tools

You should be able to say:

“AI gives speed. Humans give taste.”

Operator / CEO Mindset

  • Comfortable making decisions independently
  • Can build systems from zero
  • Outcome-focused, not perfection-focused
  • Ships consistently

Taste & Judgment

  • Instantly recognizes boring content
  • Knows when to simplify
  • Cuts fluff ruthlessly
  • Prioritizes clarity over complexity

People & Process Management

  • Can manage freelancers and small teams
  • Gives clear, actionable feedback
  • Maintains momentum without chaos

Nice to Have (Not Mandatory)

  • Previously ran or helped grow a YouTube channel
  • Experience with explainer videos or animation studios
  • Understanding of retention graphs and audience psychology
  • Background in content startups or media businesses
